Open deck is the core of what we do. About 7 in 10 of the loads we arrange move on flatbed, step deck or partial flatbed, carrying steel, machinery, prefab structures and oversize freight across all 50 states and Canada. Whether you ship one load a year or run a weekly lane, we match your freight to the right trailer and a vetted carrier.
Open-Deck Equipment We Use
- Flatbed: the standard 48′ or 53′ deck for steel, lumber, building materials and palletized freight that loads from the side or top.
- Step deck: a lower rear deck for taller freight such as machinery and equipment that would be over height on a flatbed.
- Partial flatbed: share the deck and pay for the feet you use when your load doesn’t fill a trailer.
- Oversize and heavy: over-width, over-height or overweight loads with the permits and planning they require.
Not sure which trailer fits? Our Trailer Guide compares dimensions and legal limits.
