I’m Adam Irvin, an independent freight agent with Shippers Resource Center, MC 464639.
Trucking runs in my family. My dad, Royce, started out as a truck driver, then became a dispatcher, and then an independent freight broker. I grew up around trucks and shipping with him.
Before I came into freight full-time, I spent 15 years as a machinist. Growing up in trucking and then working on the shop floor put me on both sides of the shipping dock, so I know what fabricators and manufacturers really need from drivers and brokers.
In 2020 I started working with my dad full-time, and in 2021 I took over his agency.
What I move
- Open deck: steel, machinery and oversize loads on flatbed, step deck, RGN/lowboy, Conestoga and hot shot.
- Dry van: full and partial truckload.
- LTL: discounted rates through Shippers Resource Center.
How I work
- You deal with me from quote to delivery. One point of contact.
- I answer my phone.
- I pass the LTL discounts I get through SRC on to you.
- I get back to you on quotes within two hours on business days.
